announcing…SweatGuru!

Today is a big day in the fitness-tech world! Jamie and Alyse, the ladies behind FitApproach and the Sweat Pink Ambassador program that I’m involved in, are launching their new website, SweatGuru.

This beta launch is available for fitness markets in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. I know all my NYC friends will love checking this out! I also noticed a couple of studios in other cities, so it’s worth a look regardless of where you live. It’s basically a database where you can go search for fun workouts, find new studios, and sign up for classes all in one convenient location.

What’s also badass about this website is that you can earn points for your class attendance and social activity! Examples include coconut water, Lululemon Athletica gift cards, or a fancy foam roller. I don’t know about y’all but I’d probably werk it for some new Lululemon tank tops…

Make sure to check out the blog section of SweatGuru–their listed instructors contribute with articles and posts that are rich with info. Maybe one day I’ll find myself on that list!

For those fitness instructors and personal trainers out there, SweatGuru can hook you up by listing your offerings. You can collect payment through the website and get exposure to the entire database of members. Pretty cool concept, I’m totally joining if it ever opens up to the Miami market!

One little glitch I noticed: I tried searching “barre” in New York, and it pulled up San Francisco locations. If you experience this, one way to get around it is to click on the studios listing and not classes.

Go check it out and come back here to let me know how you like it! You can tweet them @TheSweatGuru with feedback, they’d LOVE to hear from you!
