Today’s product in the home gym series is a set of push-up bars. These bars are inexpensive, portable, and versatile! By performing push-ups with your hands elevated you activate more muscles by achieving a greater range of motion. Using these bars during your workout keeps your chest, triceps, and back muscles guessing. In addition to the muscles I just listed, the less stable position challenges your core.
There are many ways to incorporate these bars into your workouts. For push-ups you can play around with your grip, using different muscles with your hands in a regular, wide, angled, or staggered position. To get more of an abdominal workout, you can hold your body in a high plank position and perform mountain climbers or alternate bringing your knees up to your opposite elbows.
